Corre el año 195 DC (Despues de la Colonizacion). En el pasado siglo, la humanidad ha establecido numerosas colonias espaciales, grandes estructuras en forma de rueda que albergan en su interior a millones de personas. Estas colonias estan agrupadas en racimos en los cinco puntos de Lagrange, unas zonas de relativa estabilidad en la orbita terrestre.
Durante decadas, mientras la superficie de la Tierra fue agitada por la guerra y los combates entre civiles, la paz y la tranquilidad de las colonias espaciales cosntituian una atractiva alternativa para los colonos detractores de la guerra. Cuando las guerras terrestres acabaron, se establecio un nuevo gobierno mundial, una "Alianza de Union del Globo Terrestre", encargada de mantener la paz mediante el uso de las armas. En nombre de la paz y la justicia, la Alianza se hizo con el control de las colonias.
Bajo el pretexto de restaurar el orden en las colonias, la Alianza realiza una segunad intervencion militar, usando maquinas de guerra humanoides llamadas mobile suits para aplastar cualquier oposicion. [animerate]
