SINOPSIS
Chobits transcurre en pleno siglo XXII, en un mundo totalmente computerizado y donde los persocom, ordenadores con forma humana, están sustituyendo en las relaciones sentimentales a las personas de carne y hueso. Los hombres y las mujeres prefieren relacionarse por separado con estos ordenadores último modelo, pues no oponen resistencia ni jamás llevan la contraria. Una forma práctica de mantener una relación, sin duda.
El protagonista de la serie es Hideki Motosuwa, un joven universitario que trabaja en un restaurante para pagarse lasa clases y su apartamento. Hideki vive rozando la miseria y no tiene pajolera idea de ordenadores, lo que lo convierte en todo un outsider en un mundo tan tecnológico como el del s. XXII. A pesar de ello, Hideki es un chico de su tiempo y, como cualquier otra persona de su generación, ansía comprarse algún día un perscomo, una máquina que alivie su soledad. Un día que vuelve del trabajo se encuentra tirado en la basura un persocom desconectado. Hideki no sabe si el ordenador funciona o no, pero ante la duda se lo lleva a casa (no todos los días se encuentran uno ordenadores con forma humana tirados por ahí). El caso es que resulta ser un persocom, que tiene forma de chica, está operativo, pero ha perdido todos sus datos (vamos, que no recuerda quién es), y lo que parecía la solución de todos los preoblemas de nuestro amigo Hideki se va a convertir en el mayor de ellos.[jonumedia]
