Un día cualquiera, Hanabishi Kaoru, estudiante universitario de segundo año, se topa con una mujer vestida en kimono que parece consternada. Estaba buscando a una persona que no había visto en años. Aunque tenia una dirección, esta era su primera vez en la ciudad, así que Kaoru decide ofrecerle su ayuda.
Sin embargo, la dirección que tiene los lleva a un terreno baldío. Kaoru lleva a la mujer distraída a su casa donde ella le muestra una fotografía de su infancia con la imagen de ella y la persona a la que esta buscando; es la única pista que le queda del hombre al que busca. Sorprendido, Kaoru se reconoce a sí mismo en la fotografía. Resulta que la mujer es Sakuraba Aoi, heredera única de la adinerada familia Sakuraba. Desde niña, ella era su prometida y había pasado 18 años preparándose para casarse con el. Sin embargo, cuando Kaoru dejo a los Hanabishi, fue desheredado por la familia y su matrimonio anulado. Por lo que ella decide convencerlo de que regrese con los Hanabishi. Como lograra Kaoru reconciliar sus sentimientos por Aoi con la razón de su partida de los Hanabishi? [animerate]
